Estimated Time: 1-2 hrs/week

Estimated Leads: 10-30 per day

Technique: Locate places in your area that have corkboards where people place their business cards. Grab them and make calls.  Here’s what to say: “Not sure where I found your card, but would you be interested in a side project that doesn’t interfere with what you’re currently doing?”

Why this technique works: The people who advertise and put their business cards in these locations are people who want more business and are interested in making more money.

MLM Lead Generation Strategy #2: Realtor Signs

Estimated Time: 1 hr/week

Estimated Leads: 5 leads/week

Technique: Drive around your local neighborhood and locate realtor signs. Jot down the realtor’s name, phone number, and property location.  Make the call! This particular strategy comes from master prospector, Todd Falcone’s training on how to recruit professionals: Recruit Professionals What to say: “Do you at all keep your options open in terms of making money outside of what you are currently doing as a real estate professional?”

How to Generate 5 Leads A Day From Twitter (Part 2)

The 3 key steps to getting more leads on twitter is to attract, connect, and funnel. You want to attract a targeted following, connect and engage with your followers, and then funnel traffic from twitter to your lead capture page. In part 1, I shared how to attract a targeted following on twitter. Now, in part 2, I am going to discuss how to connect with your followers and build trust.

5 Ways to Build Strong Relationships on Twitter:

1) Welcome Your Followers

Sending a DM (direct message) to your new followers, is a great way to get a conversation started with them.  You can ask a question or point your new followers to your Facebook profile page or blog so they can connect with you further.  One of the great free tools that you can use to automate your direct messages is SocialOomph

2) Ask Questions

Engage in a two-way dialogue with your followers.  Ask questions to get a conversation started. You can tweet out a question to your entire list of followers or send @mention’s or DM’s to your individual followers.  The point here is to make twitter conversational and to start creating a discussion with your followers.

3)Answer Questions

Pay attention to your twitter feed to see if anyone that you are following has asked a question. If so, find the answer to the question and respond. You should become a trusted adviser and a trusted source for information and helpful advice. This is a great way to connect with other people on twitter.  You should also answer questions that people send directly to you on twitter. Again, the key here is to make yourself available to others and to participate in conversations with them.

4) Point others to helpful information

To continue with tip #3 above, on twitter you want to connect with others and build a following by sharing helpful tips, news, and advice.  If you find anything interesting that can help solve the problems of your followers, tweet it and share it.

5) Retweet Others

Retweeting others is also another great way to build relationships with other people on twitter. By helping other people to get their content shared, you can build a relationship with them and most times, they will return the favor.  Again, the key to really building strong relationships on twitter is to give more than you receive.

The key to generating leads on twitter is: attract, connect, and funnel.  You want to attract a targeted following, connect and engage with your followers, and then funnel traffic from twitter to your lead capture page. In part 1 of this post, I am going to share tips on how to attract a targeted following on twitter.

Tip #1: Follow People in Your Niche

  • Follow other MLM and Network Marketing Leaders. Use twellow.com and enter in the keyword phrases for your niche to find the leading authority figures and experts in your industry
  • Follow other network marketers. You can use twellow.com to locate other network marketers. Just do a search for “network marketer” in the twellow search box and start following 50 network marketers a day.

You can pick up followers every day just by simply following other people.

Tip #2: Regularly tweet valuable content

What should you tweet?

  • Helpful tips for your followers
  • Motivational quotes: Quotes are a common favorite on twitter and usually get retweeted often.
  • News articles or blog posts about your industry that would be of value to your followers. Watch the tweets from the network marketing leaders and experts in your field for trends and retweet it to your followers.

One of the best ways to building a targeted following on twitter quickly is to regularly tweet valuable content that includes popular twitter hashtag phrases. Hashtags are topics that are posted on Twitter with a “#” symbol preceding a word in the topic being discussed.  Hashtags are used by some people to search for a topic on twitter and to follow a discussion around a topic on twitter. If you tag your tweets with hashtags, it is  a great way for you to increase your visibility and credibility among the experts in your niche and your peers, and increase your following.  Popular hashtag phrases for the network marketing and mlm industry are: #mlm, #homebiz, #networkmarketing, #homebusiness

If you tweet content that is valuable, it is much more likely to be retweeted and shared by others on twitter.  The more exposure your tweets get on twitter through retweets, the more followers you will attract, and the more leads you can get each day.

    • Do a search in Facebook and find groups related to network marketing, mlm, and home-based businesses. Join those groups!
  2. Strategy #2: Contribute to those groups
    • Offer value, do not pitch. Share helpful tips and advice
    • Comment on other group member’s posts and engage and interact with the community
    • One of the mistakes that most network marketers make is that they join groups on Facebook and start pitching everyone their business opportunity. Do not do this! You want to offer value, to be a leader.
  3. Strategy #3: Network
    • Every group has a list of members
    • Send friend requests to the members of the group. When you send a friend request, send a message along with the request stating that you want to connect.
  4. Strategy #4: Create Your Own Facebook Group

Having your own Facebook group gives you  credibility  and positions you as a leader. It is great social proof for your prospects and positions you as a leader.  Imagine the positioning a Facebook group gives you when you can direct your prospect to your Facebook group where you have over 500 members.  This will demonstrate to your prospects that you are someone with credibility and authority online.  You will be able to build trust and connect with your prospects better and recruit more prospects into your company.
